Content Strategist

About the Role

Yes& is looking for a Content Strategist to help shape and execute content that works — for the people reading it and for the search engines and AI tools surfacing it. This is a great fit for someone a few years into their content career who wants to grow into a more strategic role: you’ve cut your teeth on content calendars, briefs, and SEO basics, and you’re ready to take more ownership over strategy, governance, and how content performs across channels.

You’ll partner closely with account, paid media, UX and strategy teams to plan, structure, and maintain content that’s consistent, accessible, on-brand, and built to be found — by search engines, by AI search tools, and by the humans they’re both trying to serve.

• Develop content strategies and roadmaps for client accounts, aligning content to business goals, audience needs, and brand voice

• Write, edit, and optimize content briefs, ensuring deliverables are clear, SEO-informed, and grounded in audience insight

• Conduct keyword and prompt research and apply SEO, AEO and GEO best practices to improve organic visibility and search performance

• Help build and maintain content governance frameworks — information architecture, taxonomies, content ecosystem audits, and governance models — to keep client digital marketing content consistent and current

• Analyze content performance using SEO/AEO/GEO and analytics tools, translating data into clear recommendations for what to create, update, or retire

• Collaborate with user experience strategists, developers, writers, and account leads to keep content organized and on schedule

• Stay current on SEO, content design, and AI search trends and help bring new thinking into client work

• 2–4 years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, SEO, or a closely related role (agency experience a plus)

• Clear grounding in SEO fundamentals — keyword research, on-page optimization, content performance analysis. Experience with AEO and GEO is a plus, but not a requirement.

• Experience contributing to or maintaining content strategy practices (governance models, editorial standards, content audits, digital copywriting)

• Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills, with an eye for both strategic structure and line-level clarity

• Comfort working with content management systems (e.g. Drupal, Word Press) and SEO/analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console, Semrush, or similar)

• Ability to juggle multiple clients and projects, with strong attention to detail and deadlines

• A collaborative, curious mindset — someone who wants to learn and grow into a senior strategist role

• Exposure to Salesforce or another CRM platform (e.g., Marketing Cloud, Hub Spot) — certifications a plus

• Familiarity with AI search tools and how they’re changing content discoverability (AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc.)

• Experience with content taxonomy, tagging, or personalization strategies within a CMS or CRM environment
