The Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) is hiring apart-time paid intern to support our design and marketing efforts while our graphic designer is on leave.
Start datewill be early- to mid-October,with an expected end datesometimein
February.
The Marketing & Graphic Design Internreports tothe Director of Marketingandprimarilyworksremotely,but must be able to visit a WHS campus as needed.

- Design new graphics and materials upon request
- Make requested edits to existing design materials for various departments
- Place orders with local printers,coordinate deliveries, and follow up with staff to ensure receipt of orders
- Support the PR department through daily tasks and specialadministrativeprojects,suchas image library management and digital file housekeeping
- Other duties as assigned
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator,Photoshop, and Acrobat; familiarity with Microsoft Office and Canva
- Preference for currentenrollmentin or graduate ofan accredited college,university, or other learning platform related tographic design, visual communications, advertising,or a related field
- Personal Adobe Creative Suite subscription and computer preferred, but please still apply if you would need either provided during your internship
- Photography, video editing, motiongraphicsor
CapCutexperience is a plus
- Experience ina professional work environment preferred, with strong comfort using Outlook, cloud-based file storage, and workplace communication tools
- High attention to detail and desire to create process improvements in all aspects of work
- Strong communication skills
- A quick learner who values feedback
- Capable of accepting and completing tasks with minimal supervision in a self-motivated manner

- Availability to work
15-20hours per week during normal business hours, Monday through Friday - While the majority of the work can be remotely, you must be able to physically visit a WHS location as needed

The Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) is the oldest and largest shelter in Wisconsin. It was founded in 1879 andoperatesshelters in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Door, Brown, and Kenosha Counties, as well as a Spay/Neuter Clinic in West Allisand a wildlife rehabilitation center in Milwaukee.
The organization offers adoption services, youth programs, low-cost veterinary resources, retail stores, volunteer programs, dog training classes, and much more.
