About the RoleAre you a compassionate leader dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children and families? Childhelp is seeking a Victim Advocacy Supervisor to join our multidisciplinary team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the Victim Advocacy program and playroom, ensuring that children and non-offending caregivers receive the dignity, respect, and trauma-informed support they deserve during investigative and legal processes.
You will manage a dedicated team of advocates, interns, and volunteers, while collaborating with high-level partners such as the Phoenix Police Department, Department of Child Safety (DCS), and Phoenix Children’s Hospital to provide a seamless safety net for our community.
What You’ll Do:- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of 3-5 Victim/Child Advocates and interns.
- Foster a culture of excellence through regular performance feedback and professional development.
- Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff and volunteers.
- Ensure program quality standards align with best practices in trauma-informed care and victim services.
- Analyze data to drive program improvements and assist with grant writing for future expansion.
- Manage the inventory and distribution of donated resources (food, clothing, and toys).
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with multidisciplinary partners (Law Enforcement, Medical Providers, and Human Service agencies).
- Serve as an escalation point for complex or highly sensitive cases.
- Provide direct advocacy services during high-volume periods or for quality assurance.
- Model best-in-class, victim-centered advocacy for the entire team.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related social science field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience working within a multidisciplinary environment (CPS, Law Enforcement, etc.).
- Expertise: Demonstrated background in victim advocacy, specifically regarding child abuse or family violence.
- Leadership: Proven experience in a supervisory or program coordination role.
- Knowledge: A deep understanding of the dynamics of abuse, trauma, and the victim-offender cycle, along with familiarity with community-based resource systems.
