26-27 CCCS Community Engagement and Volunteer Impact VISTA
Catholic Charities Community Services (CCCS) strengthens families across Arizona by connecting individuals to essential services that promote stability, dignity, and long-term self-sufficiency. Volunteer Services is at the heart of this mission—mobilizing community members to take meaningful action in supporting individuals and families experiencing poverty, housing instability, and limited access to resources.
This VISTA position will play a key role in expanding that impact by building sustainable systems that strengthen how volunteers are recruited, trained, and engaged. The member will help create more accessible and effective volunteer experiences, ensuring community members can contribute in ways that directly support families working toward stability. Key efforts include improving onboarding and training tools, enhancing Volunteer Hub systems—including kiosk‑based check‑in and reporting for corporate and group volunteers—and developing data systems that better tell the story of volunteer impact.
The VISTA will also design structured group service opportunities, such as volunteer projects and donation drives aligned with CCCS’s calendar of focus, helping bring communities together to meet real and immediate needs. Additionally, the member will establish a Volunteer Lead Group to foster peer connection, leadership, and community‑driven engagement.
Through this work, the VISTA will help transform volunteerism into a powerful force for change—expanding CCCS’s ability to strengthen families, build community connections, and reduce the impacts of poverty across Arizona.
