Summary:
Reporting to the Shelter Program Manager, the Service Coordinator works in partnership with other program staff to provide a safe and welcoming shelter environment. This includes assisting with stocking supplies for the program, overseeing meal service, spot cleaning or sanitizing, preparing spaces for new residents to move into, and packing up items left behind by residents leaving the program. The ideal candidate has a welcoming and friendly attitude toward residents and staff and the ability to collaborate with multiple SVdP departments.
This representative must be energetic, resourceful, and reliable with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with vulnerable populations. This candidate will exhibit the demonstrated ability and desire to maintain and promote an organized, safe, and efficient work environment. This individual will partner with other program personnel to make decisions in the best interest of the safety of the entire group.
This requires the ability to think and act quickly when there is a need to pivot or address urgent needs and emergencies.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate orally and in writing required. (English)
- Valid AZ Driver's license and ability to provide 39 month MVR showing clean driving record
- Active Arizona Level One fingerprint clearance card by day one of employment
- Abilities to stand and walk, lift up to 50 pounds, sit, bend, and reach are required for this position.
- Excellent communication, organization skills, andability to interact with guests, staff, and volunteers required.
- Relatedexperienceworkingwithvulnerablepopulationsinatemporaryshelter environment preferred.
