The Grant Development Specialist has a primary role in contract and grant application development, including budget preparation, data-informed needs assessment, and coordination of all required submission components across multiple electronic portals (for example, Grants.gov, HRSA EHB, Just Grants, and foundation platforms). Responsibilities include program design and development activities that meet the emerging needs of urban American Indians and other underserved populations, with a focus on evidence-based programs and promising or best practices aligned with NATIVE HEALTH's service array.
The Grant Development Specialist facilitates activities to diversify agency funding, enabling program sustainability and agency growth, and plays a pivotal role in project start-up upon grant award (e.g., budget finalization, internal funding opportunities, seeking funding to address identified community needs that are consistent with the NATIVE HEALTH Mission Statement and approved by the Board of Directors. The Grant Development Specialist will report directly to the Chief Development Officer (CDO).
