LOCATION: Hybrid (in-office/remote/community & networking)

PAY: (Starting Range) $76,000-$90,000 DOE + Participate in our Scheduled Raise Program

SCHEDULE:

Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm + some early mornings, evenings, and weekends for AZA United events and donor meetings.

Job Summary

The Fund Development Manager plays a key role in advancing AZA United’s mission by managing and growing critical components of the organization’s fundraising efforts. This position is responsible for implementing and executing strategies related to individual giving, corporate partnerships, grants support, special events, and donor stewardship. The Fund Development Manager collaborates closely with teams across the organization to ensure fundraising activities are aligned with organizational priorities and revenue goals.

Job Duties Fundraising & Revenue Generation
  • Manage a portfolio of individual donors, prospects, and corporate partners, with responsibility for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Support and help execute annual giving campaigns, major gifts initiatives, and other development strategies to meet or exceed revenue goals.
  • Support the development and growth of emerging giving initiatives, employer matching, planned giving, and other giving opportunities.
  • Assist with sponsorship development and corporate engagement, including proposal preparation and relationship management.
  • Contribute to grant development efforts, including prospect research, application support, reporting, and stewardship in coordination with leadership.
Donor Stewardship & Communications
  • Develop and manage stewardship and engagement strategies to strengthen donor retention and support long-term donor growth.
  • Partner with the communications team to develop fundraising materials, impact reports, appeals, and donor acknowledgments.
  • Ensure timely and personalized donor recognition and follow-up to strengthen donor relationships and engagement.
Data Management & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate donor records and activity tracking in the organization’s CRM/database.
  • Monitor fundraising performance metrics and prepare reports for the Senior Director of Development.
  • Use data and best practices to inform fundraising strategies and improve performance.
Events & Engagement
  • Lead the planning and execution of select fundraising and community engagement events in partnership with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Coordinate donor activities and events to deepen and strengthen mission connection.
  • Ensure a high-quality donor experience before, during, and after events.
  • Assist the team with planning and executing existing or new point-of-entry events to promote mission awareness and develop a pipeline for future supporters.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Serve as a collaborative partner to program staff to understand funding needs and donor impact.
  • Represent AZA United professionally with donors, community partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Stay current on fundraising trends and philanthropic best practices relevant to a large, complex nonprofit organization.
  • Demonstrate and reinforce behavior with teammates, families, and the community that is consistent with our organizational values.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of nonprofit fundraising or fund development experience.
  • Proficiency with Windows & MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), donor databases/CRMs, Canva and other systems and databases as needed.
