LISC Phoenix was formed in 1992 and since its inception, has collaborated with place‑based organizations and our corporate, foundation and public partners to create an innovative approach to working with neighborhoods that face systemic challenges. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative community development initiatives that are addressing housing affordability, equitable economic development, gentrification and displacement, income inequality in Arizona.
The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and project management skills, and have experience working with diverse populations and possess general expertise in community development, and/or specific expertise in economic development, affordable housing, and program management.
- Develop and maintain relationships in the community development sector, by participating and representing LISC Phoenix on local coalitions and work groups and with government agencies and thought partners.
- Assist in efforts to develop strategic collaborations with and among community‑based organizations, anchor institutions, and other corporate, civic, and public sector organizations to leverage LISC’s capabilities.
- Manage and support stakeholder groups (i.e. LAC, ACRC, APHC) by coordinating meetings and executing agree‑upon activities.
- Raise visibility of LISC Phoenix activities through communications, policy and advocacy, and community engagement activities; support story development, media outreach and social media management.
- Develop and manage external communications for LISC Phoenix, including websites, eblasts, newsletters, Jostle updates, program announcements, and project summaries.
- Collaborate with staff and partners to gather stories, visuals, and data that highlight program outcomes and community impact.
- Draft reports, talking points, and narrative materials for internal and external audiences.
- Maintain consistent public messaging that uplifts community voices and reflects LISC Phoenix’s commitments to removing barriers to opportunity and collaboration.
- Work with the Senior Executive Director to support funding proposals, preparing the annual giving campaign, invoicing for regular donations, and tracking of fundraising activities in Salesforce.
- Administer contracts between LISC and consultants, through the lifecycle of the contract, including drafting, evaluating performance, and maintaining contractual records.
- Manage application development and intake for competitive grant programs (i.e. HUD, ACRC, Pre‑Dev, AHF, HHF).
- Lead strategic planning and logistical management for the Annual LISC Phoenix Event, including vendor contracts and coordination, sponsorship alignment, content curation, and communications.
- Support the design and implementation of community resilience projects, including site visits, workshops, multi‑partner gatherings, and public‑facing engagements.
- Provide high‑level project management and day‑to‑day oversight across multiple program areas, including the Housing Development Training Institute (HDTI), Community Resilience portfolio, and Special Projects.
- Represent LISC Phoenix and the Executive Director at meetings, events, and conferences as needed.
- Participate in National LISC meetings and activities as required.
- Periodic local travel, evening and weekend work as required.
