Mentor Kids USA is a Christian-based organization that equips and empowers youth to be transformative leaders in their lives, their families, and their communities.
Mentor Kids USA seeks a Strategic Partnerships Coordinator to play a crucial role in ensuring the organization achieves its plans for growth in alignment with its mission, vision, and values.
The Strategic Partnerships Coordinator will support the annual fundraising goals of Mentor Kids USA by building, managing, and stewarding relationships with a portfolio of current, lapsed, and potential business, corporate, and church partners.
Partnerships can be in the form of event sponsor ships, grants or financial contributions, in-kind gifts, employee matched funding, volunteer opportunities, or helping raise awareness of the needs of local children living in low-income and under-resourced neighborhoods.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Cultivating, managing, and stewarding a portfolio of current, lapsed, and prospective business, corporate, and church partners
- Actively soliciting and securing new partnerships with local businesses and organizations, with a goal of adding new partners each year
- Building trust and rapport with business owners through networking events, community engagement, and introductions from existing supporters
- Clearly communicating the mutual value of partnership, especially for corporate partners, by aligning opportunities with their business goals and community impact objectives
- Demonstrating appreciation to partners through personalized thank-you notes, recognition efforts, and meaningful gestures that convey their importance to our mission
- Spending significant time meeting with prospective partners to develop strategic, mission-aligned relationships
- Collaborating closely with the Development Team to achieve fundraising and organizational growth goals
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to plan and execute outreach and fieldwork effectively

- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
- Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background check
