Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) is a nonprofit organization and one of the largest Hispanic Community Development Corporations in the United States. HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROL ?

You will provide direct delivery of programs, activities, and social services to older adults. You will work with participants to identify challenges, set health and wellness goals, and develop plans that support their individual needs.

You will coordinate, promote, schedule, and facilitate engaging activities, classes, and wellness programs while continuously evaluating participant interests and adapting programming to meet their changing needs. You will also build community partnerships and coordinate opportunities for expert presenters in areas such as health, wellness, and nutrition.

Your work will include maintaining accurate participant and activity records, preparing monthly activity calendars and newsletter materials, coordinating event logistics, and supporting other areas within Center-Based Services as needed.

You are passionate about helping older adults achieve their health and wellness goals. You are organized, compassionate, and able to build meaningful relationships with participants, community partners, and team members. You can motivate others, adapt to changing needs, and manage multiple responsibilities while meeting documentation deadlines.

You also bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, cultural awareness, and the ability to work effectively with diverse community members.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

Education / Background:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • College degree in a related field preferred.
  • Two years of experience planning activities that demonstrates the ability to work effectively with older adults preferred.
  • Passion for helping individuals achieve their health and wellness goals.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to access community resources.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to encourage teamwork.
  • Multicultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with diverse community members.
  • Bilingual Spanish-English skills required.
  • Valid Arizona driver's license and reliable vehicle for use in the performance of job duties.
