Senior Clinical Specialty Program Manager STEMI Coordinator
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Department: Cardiac Cath Lab-Hospital
Shift: Day
Work Hours: 40 hours per week;
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
This position promotes and provides optimal care of patients in a designated program through leadership, coordination and development of processes related to the program. It provides broad oversight and assists other leaders to establish, oversee, conduct and evaluate quality improvement for the program, which spans the continuum of care and focuses on patient outcomes. The role enhances the program through the coordination of daily operations, community education, and activities using a comprehensive team approach and ensures compliance with regulatory and insurance standards.
CoreFunctions
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive, effective clinical program that meets regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physicians in developing standardized patient care plans and promote a comprehensive treatment approach.
- Monitor and measure care plan results and patient outcomes; review trends, identify opportunities and provide leadership with analysis and recommendations for process improvement across the entire patient episode.
- Assist in oversight of ongoing daily operations and recommend changes and improvements with a primary focus on patient outcomes.
- Develop, coordinate and oversee community education programs; assess clinical staff training needs and implement training programs to ensure clinical competence.
- Develop and monitor the program’s financial budget, ensuring appropriate utilization of staff, materials and equipment.
- Assist with selection, evaluation and management of program staff and facilitate direct patient care for the program’s viability and success.
- Interact with all levels of nursing management, medical staff and interdisciplinary team members; engage external customers including physicians, payers, community agencies, provider networks, and regulatory agencies.
Minimum Qualifications: Depending on the area of focus, the position may require a licensed Physical Therapist, Registered Nurse, or graduate of an accredited program specialty. Current state licensure as applicable. Five (5) years of clinical experience in the field of specialty, excellent leadership skills, ability to interact across departments, facilities and organizations, and strong program management skills to provide broad clinical and quality oversight while maintaining fiscal viability and success of the program.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior supervisory or program management experience.
