Position SummaryBanner University Medical Group is seeking an experienced Post Acute Liver Transplant Nurse Practitioner to join our highly trained and collaborative Transplant Team. In this hybrid role, you will provide comprehensive medical management to adult liver transplant recipients throughout their posttransplant phase of care, functioning across inpatient and outpatient settings. . You will be part of a team that delivers high quality, patient centered transplant care backed by exceptional clinical performance.
Inpatient Rotation: Daytime coverage with some weekend/holiday requirements.
Multidisciplinary Team: Full support from hepatologists, transplant pharmacists, nurse coordinators, dieticians, financial coordinators, and social workers.
Outpatient Responsibilities: Managing post-transplant clinics and conducting followup visits.
Daily Clinical Activities- Posttransplant medical management
- Immunosuppressant level and lab review
- Daily rounding and care coordination
- Communication with referring and consulting providers
- Frequent consultation with Infectious Disease, Hepatology, Cardiology, and other specialties.
- Weekly transplant selection committee meetings
- Quality meetings and performance improvement activities
- Pathology and radiology conferences
- Teaching rounds and journal clubs
- Participation in ongoing research and innovation initiatives
- Preferred: NP experience in Hepatology and/or Transplant.
- New Grads Welcome: Especially those with RN critical care or specialty experience.
- Current prescribing privileges, including DEA for controlled substances.
- Current Arizona Nurse Practitioner license.
- Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
