Certified Nursing Assistant - Surgical Trauma
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you play an essential role in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and the direction of the Nurse Manager or Director, you provide hands‑on support that promotes comfort, safety, and dignity for patients across the lifespan.
You are a key member of the care team — ensuring patients’ daily needs are met while serving as the eyes and ears of the clinical team.
What You’ll Do- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Measure and record vital signs and report findings promptly
- Perform delegated clinical procedures within scope of practice
- Support patient comfort, safety, and overall well‑being
- Observe, document, and communicate changes in patient condition to the supervising Nurse or Physician
- Accurately complete and maintain patient documentation in the medical record
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high‑quality care
- A strong commitment to compassionate, respectful patient care
- Attention to detail and the ability to recognize and report changes in condition
- Effective communication and teamwork skills

Hourly Pay Rate: $16.87 - $24.88
QualificationsEducation:
- Prefera high school diploma or GED.
Experience:
- Prefers at least one (1) year of relevant nursing assistant or healthcare‑related experience.
Specialized Training:
- Must successfully complete approved Valley wise Health computer classes.
Certification/Licensure:
- Requires licensure through the AZ Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Requires BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bilingual is preferred.
- Must have the ability to work with culturally diverse people.
- Requires excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
- Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
