Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Work Environment: Inpatient and Outpatient Clinic
Salary / Hourly Rate: $140,000 – $180,000 annually DOE and productivity
Bonus Offered: Monthly productivity bonus

Job Summary:The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides comprehensive care to neurosurgical patients in clinic, hospital, and operative settings. This role includes acute and chronic patient management, first assist responsibilities in the operating room, participation in hospital rounds, and shared call coverage. The position works closely with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity and excellence in patient care.
JobDuties & Responsibilities:
- Assess patient health status, wellness, and compliance with care plans
- Determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Provide acute and chronic patient care including histories and physicals
- Monitor therapies and administer medications and injections
- Perform suturing and wound care as needed
- Triage patient calls and evaluate patient concerns
- Respond to medical emergencies including CPR
- Document patient care and maintain accurate patient records
- Educate patients and families to promote continuity of care
- Assist physicians during surgeries in the operating room
- Participate in hospital rounds
- Respond to after-hours and weekend patient calls
- Consult with interdisciplinary team members as needed
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality
- CPR and ACLS certification
- For Physician Assistants:
Graduate of an AMA-accredited PA program - Active or scheduled NCCPA certification
- BA/BS required; MS preferred
- For Nurse Practitioners:
Current Arizona RN license - Current Arizona APRN license
- National certification approved by Arizona APRN Board
- Completion of RN First Assist program meeting AORN standards (for NP first assist in OR)
- Experience preferred; new graduates considered

- 1-2 Years of Experience in Neurosurgery or a similar field as an APP
- NP/PA Program Completed in the USA (Not Puerto Rico)
- Arizona NP/PA License

Completion of a program meeting AORN RNFA education standards
