Description:

This position requires experience in a Neuro Acute Epilepsy Monitoring setting.
Candidates must have strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
The ability to detect small changes in patients is essential.
RNs will care for patients with diagnoses including epilepsy, brain tumors, and traumatic brain injuries.
The unit consists of a total of 48 beds, including specialty rooms for epilepsy monitoring.
Ratios are 1:4 during days and nights.
There is a charge nurse present with no patient assignment.
Nurse aides will be available on shift.
The position requires 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule.
Holidays must be worked as part of the rotation.
The required scrub color is grey.
Ventilators will include Bipap, with respiratory therapy available 24/7.
Pharmacy services are also available 24/7.
Floating to Med-Surg/Telemetry floors may be required.
Floor-specific orientation will occur for 2 shifts.
Successful candidates will undergo a skills assessment upon start.
Self-releasing velcro seat belts will be utilized, which are not considered restraints.
The hospital allows for cancellations of up to 4 shifts within a 13-week assignment.
