Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) will provide specialized care to patients recovering from cardiac surgeries and other cardiovascular conditions. This role requires proficiency in acute care settings and the ability to maintain sterile techniques.
Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care for critical patients post-cardiac surgery, including CRRT, IABP, and ECMO.
Complete SIMs Lab training for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.
Floating to other ICUs and Tele units as needed, with a patient ratio of 4:1 on Tele.
Participate in educational sessions regarding lifts, restraints, and wound care.
Collaborate with intensivists and utilize Transplant patients.
Requirements:
Must have Level I Trauma experience and pass a dysrhythmia exam before acceptance.
Valid RN License and BLS, ACLS certifications; CCRN preferred.
Strong IV skills required; proficiency in bedside procedures.
Competent in maintaining sterile field and critical care protocols.
Travelers must have own vehicle and adhere to appearance standards.
