Job Description:

The RN position focuses on providing care in a Level 1 Trauma setting with responsibilities including monitoring and managing patients in a Med/Tele unit.

Experience with trauma cases and strong critical thinking skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
Perform Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes (SIMs Lab required).
Manage patient care for common neurological conditions such as epilepsy, brain tumors, and traumatic brain injuries.
Administer medications and document patient care using the Cerner charting system.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including SWAT RN for IV management and RT for Bipap vents.
Maintain sterile field during procedures and follow hospital protocols.
Requirements:
Level 1 Trauma experience required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry.
Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
Competency in dysrhythmia; must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance.
BSN preferred;
Med Surg/Tele certification is preferred.
Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills to detect small changes in patients.
