Position: Assistant Director of Nursing / Unit Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and lead nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training to ensure a skilled and compassionate team.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring they align with individual needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a culture of excellence in patient care, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
  • Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation of nursing staff.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives, conducting regular audits and assessments.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance communication and coordination of care.
  • Handle escalated patient care issues, collaborating with staff to resolve challenges effectively.
  • Act as a liaison between nursing staff and administration, facilitating clear communication and addressing concerns promptly.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) preferred or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Valid Arizona state license.
  • Strong understanding of long‑term care regulations and quality improvement processes.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare technology.
