We are seeking an ambitious, friendly, positive, and compassionate Infusion RN to join our Infusion Team at Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates, P.C.
The Infusion Registered Nurse is the clinical assistant to the providers and works alongside the Infusion MA and physicians in the Infusion suites to assist Infusion patients.
Responsibilities- Greet patients and sign in Infusion patients according to established protocols
- Assist Infusion patients to make sure they have the questions answered about the medication they are receiving
- Answer incoming calls and deal with inquiries
- Assist with charting and recording infusion vitals/administration/IVs/medications
- Perform verbal pre-infusion questionnaire with patient
- Obtain vitals on patient prior to beginning infusion, during infusion and at discontinuation
- Draw labs, if needed
- Administer injections or IV as requested
- Assist with removal/discontinuation of IV
- Maintain sterile environment at all times
- Maintain drug inventory & medical supply stock
- Maintain schedules and queue medication to make sure drug inventory is correct
- Obtain external medical reports as required by medical professionals
- Respond and comply to requests for information
- Ensure Infusion clinical suite area is well maintained, neat and clean
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
- Other duties as assigned by management
Knowledge, Skill, Training and Experience to do the Job
- An RN degree from an accredited school
- IV experience in the last 2 years
- RN experience in the last 2 years
- A high-level dedication to excellent patient care, office teamwork, detail and accuracy are required
- Must have good oral and written communication skills, good computer skills, be flexible and dependable, and be able to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment
- Rheumatology or Oncology experience a plus
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
