Position Summary
Phoenix Children’s is looking for experienced ECMO Specialists! This Platinum ELSO Center of Excellence supports up to 6 ECLS patients at a time. We have a diverse patient population and support both cardiac and respiratory patients on VV and/or VA ECMO. ECMO patients are cared for in the Neonatal, Cardiovascular, or Pediatric Intensive Care Units.
We are looking for qualified ECMO Specialists who have already completed a formal ECMO training course and have at least one year of experience as an ECMO Specialist. This Clinical Nurse position is a PRN position for 12-hour night shifts and requires the incumbent to have the skill and experience necessary to work independently when working with this population. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ECMO therapy, critical care, and a passion for patient-centered care.

This position works in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient and family to promote patient health through delivery of professional nursing care appropriate to patients age and condition as documented in the nursing and medical plans of care in accordance with evidence-based nursing and patient care practice standards and hospital goals, values and regulatory standards.
Education- Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred)
- Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association prior to start date. (Required)
