Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Special Precautions Telemetry Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well‑being and recovery. The Visual Monitoring Unit is a 10‑bed specialized unit for medical‑surgical telemetry patients with special precautions to help keep the staff and patients safe. Some patients have a secondary mental‑health diagnosis. This unit has its own care‑coordination staff and security, creating a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, make critical assessments, perform skilled procedures, and implement patient‑care plans. You will collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to optimal patient outcomes.

  • Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence‑based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient.
  • Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient.
  • Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues.
  • Serves as an advocate for patients’ needs by demonstrating holistic care practices.
  • Recognizes and adapts to changes in patients’ condition (e.g., labs, vitals, signs, and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
  • Utilizes SBAR format to notify physicians and other providers of clinical findings, and performs nurse‑to‑nurse reports at the bedside.
Job Requirements Required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Registered Nurse license in Arizona.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
Preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • One year recent acute care experience.
