We are currently seeking experienced Advanced Care Practitioners to support our physicians at several of our valley locations. The position will primarily encompass clinical work, post‑operative follow‑up care, and may also include participation in physician‑led research projects. The ideal candidate will be a “self‑starter” with prior pain management, orthopedic or neurosurgery experience and must possess a passion for excellence.
Job Duties- Assesses patient health status, including state of wellness and compliance with care plans
- Meets with new patients; obtain and update patient history and monitor ongoing treatment
- Triages patient calls and evaluates patient concerns, providing guidance as needed
- Provides acute and chronic pain care, including taking histories, monitoring therapies, giving injections and providing post‑operative care
- Documents patient information and care provided in the patient record, educates patients and families as appropriate
- Provides continuity of care
- Maintains privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient, client, staff, and organizational data
- Excellent oral, written & telephone communication, along with tact, diplomacy, and a strong customer service orientation
- Prioritizes work activities and accepts multiple job duties
- Maintains effective working relationships with physicians, administration and other staff members; requires flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Maintains positive attitude and demonstrates the utmost in professionalism at all times
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Arizona
- Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is preferred
- National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or certification eligible; certification must be obtained within the first six (6) months of employment
- Current DEA number for Schedule II–IV Controlled Substances
- Current ACLS Certification
- Prior pain management, orthopedic or neurosurgical experience preferred
- Active in professional organizations and maintains CME
- Must be a graduate of an accredited university
- Maintains PA certification through the National Commission of Physician Assistants
- Must be licensed to practice as a physician assistant in the State of Arizona
- Earns CME credits related to pain management at least once a year and fulfills the requirements of the Arizona Board of Physician Assistants
- Current DEA number for Schedule II–IV Controlled Substances
- Current ACLS Certification
- Prior pain management, orthopedic or neurosurgical experience preferred
- Active in professional organizations and maintains CME
