Overview
- Provide specialized nursing care in a vascular operating room setting, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality surgical care and maintain compliance with healthcare standards.
- Utilize critical thinking and advanced nursing skills to address complex patient needs during surgical procedures.
- Participate in patient care planning, documentation, and post-operative assessments to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain sterile techniques and oversee patient positioning to ensure safety during vascular surgeries.
- Administer pharmacological agents as required, adhering to established protocols and standards.
- Contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment, promoting professional growth and development.
- Adhere to organizational values and policies, ensuring confidentiality and compliance in all activities.
- Coordinate patient care planning with other disciplines, utilizing nursing processes and critical thinking skills.
- Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, and adjust care processes as necessary.
- Develop individual care plans based on initial nursing histories and patient assessments.
- Ensure sterile techniques are adhered to during surgical procedures, maintaining patient safety.
- Administer medications and manage IV lines as required, complying with healthcare standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to address unexpected events or problems.
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and address their concerns effectively.
- Participate in workplace health and safety initiatives, resolving issues proactively.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience; vascular or endovascular experience preferred.
- Current RN licensure permitting work in the state and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques, patient positioning, and pharmacological administration.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to interpret and apply healthcare policies, procedures, and standards.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to organizational values.
- Willingness to relocate and availability for on-site work.
