Overview
Naph Care is hiring LPNs and LVNs to join our team of medical professionals in Arizona Department of Corrections - Phoenix, where we manage all aspects of healthcare for individuals currently incarcerated in Phoenix, AZ.
Pay rates range from $32.00 to $34.00 per hour based on shift, site needs, hire status, and experience.
We offer a $5,000 sign on bonus for full‑time employees! Part‑time positions may be available.
As a Correctional Nurse, you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care to the individuals in residence. Working within a controlled environment, security is top priority. Your duties include performing physical assessments, administering medications, managing chronic illnesses, and responding to emergencies. Your role is unique, allowing you to make a difference for a diverse population of patients with complex medical needs.

ResponsibilitiesAs an LPN, you will play a critical role in our continued mission to provide quality healthcare that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our patient population. Duties and responsibilities may include:
- Performing patient assessments and interviewing patients about current health problems and medication history.
- Taking vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Providing wound care, including cleaning and bandaging injured areas.
- Administering medication, including injections and monitoring reactions to meds.
- Maintaining medical records, including entering information into our electronic health record, Tech Care.
- Observing patient health and mental health status.
- Providing emergency first aid.
- Providing patient education and discharge/release planning.
Education / Licenses / Certifications / Requirements
- Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Actively state certified as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Be able to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA required).
- Ability to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds, including those with mental health or substance abuse issues.
- Must maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information and comply with facility corrections policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Must pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening.
Physical Capabilities: Must stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
