Registered Nurse (Ambulatory Care) RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)
  • Observe and assess the patient s clinical condition, recognizing, identifying, and interpreting serious situations and immediately deciding and taking appropriate action.
  • Formulate a nursing diagnosis.
  • Develop a plan of care for individual patients by interviewing patients and family members, reviewing the patient s health record and determining the kind of health and physical care required, including discharge planning.
  • Initiate appropriate measures in emergency situations when physicians are not immediately available.
  • Operate and monitor general and specialized nursing equipment utilized in the Ambulatory Care department.
  • Administer therapeutic measures and medications as prescribed by the physician.
  • Plan, provide, and document the teaching of patients and families in preventive, curative, and rehabilitative measures.
  • Record observations, nursing interventions, therapeutic measures administered, and the status of coordinated activities between nursing and other professional disciplines.
  • Serve a diverse Native American patient population from more than 45 tribes.
Registered Nurse (Ambulatory Care) REQUIREMENTS
  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in any U.S. state (Client facility Arizona license not required).
  • Bachelor s degree in nursing from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program OR diploma or associate degree in professional nursing from an approved program.
  • Minimum thirty-six (36) months of nursing experience, with at least two (2) years in ambulatory care or a related specialty.
  • Current BLS certification (required).
  • Two (2) professional references from current or previous supervisors.
  • Certificate of Immunization.
Schedule
  • Full-time, Contract
  • Monday through Friday
  • Day shifts
  • Overtime as needed
