The COORDINATOR‑PERIOPERATIVE RN assists with the coordination and overall management of perioperative nursing services. The role interfaces with physicians to provide patient‑centered care and coordinates activities of the specialty. The RN demonstrates clinical expertise in providing evidence‑based care and serves as a policy and practice resource within the unit.

• Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, and document patient and significant other care needs.
• Develop and implement individualized patient plans of care, including discharge planning, in collaboration with the patient and health care team.
• Assist with capital budgeting, staffing plans, and special patient equipment needs.
• Perform direct patient care from perioperative admission to discharge.
• Provide frontline inventory control and assist with ordering supplies.
• Coordinate patient care activities and physician requests; ensure availability of supplies and equipment for surgery.
• Provide teaching and orientation to new personnel, students, and staff.
• Assist with performance evaluation of staff and recommend disciplinary actions.
• Participate in continuing education, quality improvement activities, and professional organization membership.
• Maintain current knowledge of Honor Health standards, patient care technology, and regulatory requirements.

Associates Diploma required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Minimum 2 years RN experience; 2–5 years as a perioperative nurse (OR, Pre‑op/PACU, Endoscopy) required.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license, state or compact, valid and in‑state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) training;
  Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• Driver’s license required if applicable to job role; must be in‑state.
