ICU Nurse
A medical center in Tucson, Arizona is seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) to join a specialized ICU team in a 100% inpatient, daytime-only role. This is a high-acuity, procedurally rich critical care position with a focused scope — post-operative open heart and lung surgery patients, pre‑op lab and imaging review, ICU procedures, and hospital discharge management — all on a structured daytime schedule with full-time and PRN options available.
A comprehensive financial package includes a commencement bonus, relocation assistance, residency/fellowship stipend, annual CME allowance, and license/dues coverage on top of competitive hourly compensation. Key Responsibilities- Provide 100% inpatient critical care support for the ICU team
- Follow post-operative open heart and lung surgery patients throughout ICU stay
- Review pre-operative labs and imaging results
- Assist with ICU procedures comfortably and independently
- Collaborate with attending physicians and interdisciplinary ICU team
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Active, unrestricted Arizona AGACNP license (or ability to obtain)
- ICU experience required — cardiac or thoracic surgical ICU experience a strong plus
- Comfortable assisting with ICU procedures independently
- Experience following post‑op open heart and lung surgery patients preferred
- Strong clinical judgment in high-acuity inpatient settings
- $85–$95/hour
