Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Hospitalist Advanced Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant), you will help hospitalized patients receive high-quality, compassionate care so they can achieve the best possible outcomes throughout their hospital stay.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with hospitalist physicians to evaluate, diagnose, and treat acutely ill adult patients while managing their care from admission through discharge. You will be expected to perform comprehensive patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, respond to urgent and emergency situations, coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and help maintain the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.
To be successful in this role, you must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Arizona, hold a Master's degree from an accredited advanced practice program, possess a current DEA registration and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and have at least three years of clinical experience in your specialty. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred, along with strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

- Three years clinical experience in area of specialty
- Degree as a Physician Assistant

- Drug Enforcement Administration - Control Sub Reg Cert

Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) is the employed physician group of Dignity Health Arizona. DHMG employs approximately 200 providers and 500 support staff covering a wide variety of specialties.
The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 subspecialty services. The physicians provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal academic, research, and leadership roles. DHMG is also heavily involved in preparing tomorrow's healthcare providers. DHMG has 84 medical school students and approximately 200 residents and fellows throughout the 25 academic programs.
Clinical services are complemented with translational and bench research to augment medical education for residents and students.
