Skilled Nursing. Shift: Day. Department: OR Operating Room-Main. 3x12hr Weekend-Day shift – Fri, Sat, Sun. Salary: $20,000 with sign‑on bonus available.
- Record patients’ medical history and symptoms; assist with diagnostic tests; analyze results.
- Operate medical equipment and administer treatments, medications, and therapies.
- Start, maintain, and discontinue intravenous (IV) lines for fluids, medications, blood, and blood products.
- Observe patients, record observations, and consult with physicians and other clinicians.
- Develop or contribute to patient care plans, ensuring they are family‑centered, culturally relevant, and evidence‑based.
- Teach patients and families how to manage illnesses or injuries, including post‑treatment care, diet, nutrition, exercise, and self‑medication.
- Provide direction to licensed practical nurses and nursing aides; delegate tasks appropriately.
- Support clinical knowledge advancement by precepting new hires, students, and staff; assist them in completing competency tasks.
- Continuously enhance knowledge of nursing practice and patient care requirements.
- Implement nursing diagnoses, interventions, and evaluate outcomes to ensure effective, cost‑efficient care.
- Document observations and interventions in a retrievable format.
- Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice; integrate ethical principles and promote diversity and cultural competency.
- Collaborate within the multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care delivery.
- Participate in evidence‑based research to identify strategies for improving practice and patient outcomes.
- Consider safety, effectiveness, and cost factors when planning and delivering patient care.
- All Diploma and ADN hires must complete a BSN within 60 months of hire.
- Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing required.
- BSN required for positions with direct responsibility for stroke patient care.
- Minimum 10 months in med‑surg or acute specialty setting.
- Minimum 1 year RN experience required for all float positions.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona required upon hire.
- National certification for unit‑specific patient populations required; preferred for specialty areas.
- Unit‑specific certification may be required further on arrival.
