Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) Radiology – Phoenix, Arizona – Tenet-AZ Region. 36 hours per week, 12‑hour shift, ongoing staff employment. The RN provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit, coordinates care planning with other disciplines, and renders individualized, age‑specific bedside care based on the nursing process. The RN acts as a supervisor for designated employees, systematically evaluates nursing practice, participates in hourly rounding, and may be in charge of a shift at times.
- Assesses patient’s physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, cultural, safety/risk and discharge planning needs on admission and ongoing.
- Determines nursing diagnosis based on assessment and data analysis.
- Sets realistic, appropriate outcome goals and uses patient/family input.
- Individualizes care plan based on needs and procedural complexities.
- Implements nursing & medical orders, ensuring they are appropriate to current status.
- Other tasks assigned at the hospital.
- Effective interpersonal skills and teamwork.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Education: Nursing degree from an accredited school.
- L&D only: Advanced fetal monitoring (must be obtained within six months of hire).
- LevelII EQ Only: Minimum two years of current LevelIII NICU experience including neonatal ventilator.
- License/
Certifications:- Registered Nurse license in Arizona.
- CPR.
- ACLS as applicable by facility/dept.
- ER, ICU, Endoscopy, Tele, Cardiac Cath Lab, L&D: ACLS required upon orientation.
- ER: PALS or ENPC required or must obtain within 90 days.
- Post‑partum, Nursery, L&D: NRP required upon orientation.
- Bariatrics:
Certification or specialized training in bariatrics. - Wound Care:
Wound‑Ostomy certification or training in wound care/ostomy.
- BSN.
- 1 year of acute care experience (new graduate considered).
- Specialty area certification preferred.
- License/Certification:
- PACU: ACLS required or within six months; PALS preferred.
- ACLS.
