Clinical Nurse - PreOp PACU Part Time

Position Summary

Looking for flexibility while maintaining work-life balance? Join our Pre-Op/PACU team in a PRN, 16-hour/week role supporting a variety of pediatric surgical specialties, including orthopedics.

Schedule:

Clinic hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Fridays required, with flexibility to work additional weekdays as needed (current need is typically Tuesday and Friday). Surgical volume is unpredictable, so weekly hours may vary and are not guaranteed to total 16 hours every week.

This position, in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family, coordinates and promotes patient health utilizing evidence-based practice in the delivery of professional nursing care across the care continuum. This position advocates for the patient and family adhering to nursing and medical plans of care, regulatory standards, and organizational values.

• Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred)

• Pediatric experience. (Preferred)

• Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. (Required)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification may be required within 90 days of entry into the position for select departments. (Preferred)
