Position:
Endoscopy RN Manager – Phoenix, Arizona
Full‑time, Monday‑Friday, day shift (6:30‑5 or 6:30‑3, flexible start times). Flat rate $5/hr for call, $3/hr weekend shift differential and 18% night shift differential when applicable.
OverviewLead the Endoscopy unit by providing clinical support, leadership, financial oversight and quality improvement initiatives while maintaining a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities- Oversee unit operations to ensure efficient patient care management, appropriate bed and staff assignments, and daily patient rounding.
- Manage unit to promote patient and employee satisfaction, safety and retention; act as a real‑time resource for clinical expertise and problem‑solving.
- Coordinate quality initiatives and process improvements, aligning them with metrics.
- Develop leadership skills among staff through communication, decision‑making, critical‑thinking training, and employee engagement.
- Facilitate unit meetings, shared governance and leadership efforts.
- Lead selection, orientation, onboarding and retention, demonstrating coaching and performance evaluation practices.
- Assist in creating the operational and capital budgets, managing daily resources (staff, supplies, equipment) and ensuring departmental productivity.
- Supervise clinical unit staff to ensure excellent patient care, schedule determination, time‑card edits and supply orders.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required for all new hires; internal transfers must complete BSN within 6 months of promotion.
- Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1‑2 years of clinical experience relevant to the patient population.
- Strong nursing knowledge, critical thinking, communication, influence, decision‑making and analytical skills.
- Ability to balance clinical duties with supervisory responsibilities and consider the ultimate impact of decisions on the unit.
- New Leader Experience certification within one year of starting the role.
- Additional related education and/or experience.
