Position Overview

Phoenix Job Corps Center is seeking a part‑time Licensed Practical Nurse (PT LPN) to provide preventative and emergency health services, wellness education, and coordinate medical, mental health, and dental care for students. The role requires maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Location: Phoenix Job Corps Center (Phoenix, AZ)

• Provide preventative and emergency health services and wellness education to students.
• Evaluate, determine, and recommend appropriate medical, mental health, and dental services.
• Assist the Wellness Director in coordinating and delivering student services.
• Administer medications and maintain medical records in compliance with local and federal guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other applicable privacy laws.
• Conduct cursory medical examinations for students as permitted by state practice law.
• Provide first‑aid treatment, bedside patient care, and other wellness services as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment within the Wellness Services area.
• Produce quality work assignments in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner.
• Maintain appropriate personal attendance, accountability, and work productivity standards.
• Plan, prioritize, and organize assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.
• Apply job knowledge to complete tasks effectively and proactively maintain required skills.
• Mentor, monitor, and model Career Success Standards as required by PRH.
• Show respect and courtesy to students and hold them accountable for their actions.
• Provide quality programs and services, ensuring student needs are met and pursuing program improvement.
• Communicate ideas clearly and contribute meaningfully to group efforts.
• Analyze problems, evaluate solutions, and follow up to ensure corrections are made.
• Collaborate with staff from all departments for effective supervision and service provision.
• Accept direction and supervision from the Center Director, Center Duty Officer, or Shift Manager and temporarily perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• LPN certification from an accredited program and a valid, unrestricted in‑state license to practice as an LPN required.
• Minimum of one year of health‑care experience preferred.
• Regional approval required.
• Position hours:
  Monday–Thursday 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM;
  Friday off, Saturday–Sunday off; on‑call rotation.
