Job SummaryCoordinates functions and activities related to a single departmental unit. Responsible for clinic unit scheduling, staffing, and development. Acts as liaison to internal and external customers, ensures regulatory compliance, and trains and mentors staff.
Responsibilities- Patient Care – Provide patient care per standards and practices, monitor effectiveness, assign and supervise care by RNs, LPNs, CNAs.
- Employee Development and Management – Staff scheduling, make staffing decisions, orient new hires, coordinate competency checklists.
- Customer Service – Interact with customers, track service performance, take corrective action.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to implement change and assist with departmental budget management.
- Independent decision making in high-stress situations.
- Education – Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Experience – Two years of relevant clinical nursing experience.
- License/Certifications – Registered Nurse in Arizona, CPR, ACLS as applicable. Additional specialty certifications (PALS, ENPC, NRP, etc.) as required per unit.
- BSN.
- Two years supervisory experience in a nursing setting.
- Specialty certification such as PACU ACLS, PALS, etc.
