Description

We are seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves ensuring donor eligibility, managing adverse events, reviewing laboratory results, and supporting health and safety procedures.

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history, physical exam, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis.
• Manage donor adverse events and respond per SOPs, including medical emergencies and donor transport.
• Ensure donor notification of unsuitable test results and refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs when necessary.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Investigate and manage employee incidents and refer to occupational health or EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and support investigations of pandemic threats.
• Provide center‑level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS) and follow guidance from Bio Life Medical Affairs.
• Follow SOPs and manage documentation for donor safety and eligibility.

• High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate education from a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
• Licensed or certified LPN or LVN in the state of assignment.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• State‑licensed basic IV therapy skills.
• Completion of FDA‑approved Bio Life Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

U.S. hourly wage range: $25.60–$35.20, adjusted for experience, skill level and location. Wage offerings comply with state and local minimum wage requirements.
