Unit:
Oncology Acute Tele T6
# beds: 32
Certs: BLS, ACLS. Chemo certified a plus.
Ratios: 1:4 ratio
EMR:
Cerner
Charge Nurse:
Yes, light patient assignment. Oncology resource RN.
Nurse Aides: 2 PCTs days and nights
Weekend Requirement:
At least 1 weekend per month.
Holidays:
Work into rotation.
Scrub Color:
Navy
Tele:
Phillips. RN to interpret EKG.
Vents:
Bipap, Cpap
Hospitalist or Intensivist in house:
No
IV Team: SWAT RN available for difficult IV sticks.
RT 24/7:
Yes
Pharmacy 24/7:
Yes
Shifts:
7-7 shifts
Floating:
Float to other Med Surg/Tele units
Floor specific orientation: 2 days on the floor.
Common diagnosis / Types of patients: 85% Oncology patients / 15% Tele medsurg. Surgical, medical, Oncology patients.
