Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Phoenix, Arizona.

Telemetry Nurse in Phoenix, AZ. This is a 12-hour night shift position on a telemetry unit specializing in patients with medical and secondary psychiatric diagnoses. The role involves providing acute care to confused, dementia, and patients with low cognitive ability, with a focus on maintaining safety and delivering quality nursing care in a fast-paced environment. Experience in medical-surgical or telemetry units is preferred, and candidates should have a desire to work with the mentally ill population.

• Required Qualifications:
  
  Valid nursing license; BLS and ACLS certifications; minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Med Surg/Telemetry;
  Arizona state licensure, or ability to obtain; must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance; must have at least a Level 1 trauma experience.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Psychiatric experience; telemetry experience.
• Float:
  Float rotation may be required.
• Unit:
  Med/surg/telemetry inpatient unit with behavioral health components requiring safety monitoring; all nurses must complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes; competency in sterile procedures and patient safety is essential. The unit utilizes Cerner EMR; nurse to patient ratio is 1:4; unit monitored by video security, with rare physical and chemical restraints used.
