Position: Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Urology) - Phoenix, AZ

Job Title:

Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Urology

Location:

Phoenix, AZ (Hospital & Clinic Settings – split between West Valley and Phoenix)

Work Environment:
Urology clinic and hospital-based setting supporting physicians in both outpatient and inpatient care

Travel Required:

Yes – split schedule between hospital and clinic locations

Salary / Hourly Rate: $120,000 – $160,000 annually

Bonus: RVU-based bonus eligibility after 1 year

Benefits:
Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO/Sick Time, 401(k) with match, CME stipend

On Call:
Light phone call during weekdays and 1:8 call rotation with rare weekend rounds (1–2 hours)

Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will support urology physicians in both the clinic and hospital settings. Responsibilities include patient evaluation, procedural assistance, inpatient rounding, and coordination of care. This role provides opportunities to learn in‑office procedures, intravesical treatments, catheter management, and occasional surgical assistance.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and manage urology patients in clinic and hospital settings
  • Perform routine in‑office urology procedures with training provided
  • Manage intravesical treatments and catheter care
  • Perform catheter placement and troubleshooting
  • Assist physicians during surgical procedures as needed
  • Conduct inpatient rounds during assigned call rotations
  • Respond to phone calls during call coverage
  • Document patient encounters accurately and timely
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure high‑quality care
Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Active or eligible Arizona NP or PA license
  • DEA license or ability to obtain
  • New graduates and experienced providers welcome
