Instructional Assistant/Personal Care LPN - Special Education
This position reports to the Elementary School Nurse and is a non‑interim role.
Essential Functions- Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees and community.
- Observe, record, and report to the school nurse the condition of the student—including signs and symptoms that may indicate a change in the patient's condition.
- Provide emotional and physical comfort to the student.
- Assist in the care of the student in accordance with the student's care plan.
- Assist as needed with other students in the program.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
Experience: Previous experience working with severely handicapped children; effective communication skills.
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Required Testing / Certifications / LicensesLicense: Current licensed practical nurse (LPN) license.
Continuing Education / Training: None specified.
Clearances- Criminal background clearance.
- Valid Arizona DPS Level I IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Access to valid Arizona DPS Level I IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card and other required clearance.
