Banner University Medical Center Phoenix has Magnet status, a level 1 Trauma designation, and a teaching mission. The main operating rooms include 28 suites with 2 Hybrid, 2 DaVinci, and MIS rooms. The specialties include General, Trauma, ENT, OMFS, Plastics, Ortho, Neuro, Robotics, Gyn, Urology, Ophthalmology, vascular, transplants, TAVR, hearts, Bariatric and NICU.
The unit performs hundreds of cases weekly and supports multiple service lines. The position supports General, Trauma, GYN & Plastics, with flexibility to assist with other cases when appropriate.
Shift details:
Full-time, 36 hours per week, 1830–0600, night shift.
Schedule:
Varied, Monday–Friday. On-call is required with weekend/holiday rotation; call differential and night shift differential apply where applicable.

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. It is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered and utilizes specialized knowledge and clinical judgment to plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the patient’s age and developmental level.
Core FunctionsMust possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice, a temporary/interim RN license, or a compact license for the state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required by practice area. Experience in the clinical area of application is desired. Must maintain competencies through annual validations. Banner Registry and Travel roles require a minimum of one year of acute care experience (recent within the past 12 months) as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area.
For Home Health, ability to operate a personal vehicle and valid driver's license with active auto insurance is required. Some facilities require specific fingerprint clearance cards at hire and throughout employment as noted in policy.
