Valley wise Health, a Level One Trauma Center, is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Emergency Department (ED) Nurse to join our fast-paced team. As an ED Nurse, you will provide immediate, high-quality care to patients experiencing a wide range of medical emergencies. You will be responsible for rapid assessments, critical interventions, and stabilization, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver life‑saving treatment in a high‑pressure environment.
This is a PM shift and offers an 18% shift differential on weekdays and 26% on weekends.
Qualifications- Education: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing.
- Experience: Must have at least one (1) year of recent acute care hospital RN experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities; or if completed the New Grad RN program at Valley wise Health then must have at least one (1) year of Valley wise Health experience as an RN and be in good standing.
- Certification/Licensure:
- Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license, temporary AZ RN license, or valid compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
- Must be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing.
- Requires a BLS card obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
- In addition, certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice:
- Ambulatory/Specialty Clinics:
Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire. You must complete the fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of your hire date. Must present an actual card within ninety (90) days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card. - Angio Suite (Interventional Radiology):
Must have ACLS at time of hire and PALS within 90 days of hire or transfer. - Antepartum Testing Center:
Must have an Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification upon hire or transfer. Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire. You must complete the fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of your hire date. Must present an actual card within ninety (90) days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card. - Burn Center Med Surg Adult:
Must have ACLS upon hire or transfer. You must obtain PALS within six (6) months. Must obtain ABLS within one (1) year. - Burn Center Med Surg Peds:
Must have ACLS upon hire or transfer. You must obtain PALS within six (6) months. Must obtain ABLS within one (1) year. - Burn Center ICU:
Must have ACLS upon hire or transfer. You must obtain PALS within six (6) months. Must obtain ABLS within one (1) year. - Burn Center Emergency:
Must have ACLS and PALS upon hire or transfer. Must obtain ABLS within one (1) year. - Burn Center Clinic:
Must have ACLS upon hire or transfer. You must obtain PALS within six (6) months. Must obtain ABLS within one (1) year. - Cardio/Pulmonary Clinic:
Must have ACLS within (6) months of hire or transfer. - Cath Lab:
Must have ACLS upon hire or transfer. - Critical Care:
Must have ACLS upon hire or transfer. Must obtain National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within six (6) months of hire or transfer. Must obtain TNCC, ATCN, or TCAR within twelve (12) months of hire or transfer. Critical Care Certified Nurse (CCRN) preferred. - Critical Care Stepdown:
Must have ACLS upon hire or transfer. Must obtain National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within six (6) months of hire or transfer. Progressive Care Nursing Certification (PCCN) preferred. - Dialysis Inpatient & Phoenix Campus:
Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ dialysis experience. Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire. You must complete the fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of your hire date. Must present an actual card within ninety (90) days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card. - ED
