Overview
East Valley Surgery Center is a small outpatient surgery center with a close-knit clinical team. We have two ORs and one Procedure Room. Specialties include ENT, Orthopedics, Endoscopy, Ophthalmology, Urology, General Surgery, and Gynecology. We are looking for a PRN OR RN Circulator. This position will work 1, 8-10 hour shifts per week on Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday. The center is closed on Tuesdays, Fridays, and the weekends/holidays.
Our daily case load is highly variable, so we need someone who is flexible with hours and may be cancelled if not needed. Minimum ONE YEAR Operating Room experience and Perioperative 101 training are required. No new grads, please.
This position, in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family, coordinates and promotes patient health utilizing evidence-based practice in the delivery of professional nursing care across the care continuum. This position advocates for the patient and family adhering to nursing and medical plans of care, regulatory standards, and organizational values.
Education- Two-year ADN in nursing, four-year BSN in nursing, or a Diploma in Nursing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program (Preferred).
- Pediatric experience (Preferred).
- Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification may be required within 90 days of entry into the position for select departments (Preferred).
