Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse The Opportunity
Join our high-performing surgical team as a CVOR Registered Nurse
. In this role, you will deliver high-acuity care to patients undergoing life-saving open-heart, vascular, and thoracic procedures. You will thrive in a fast-paced, sterile environment, directly impacting patient outcomes when they matter most.
- Drive surgical excellence by seamlessly transitioning between circulating and scrubbing roles.
- Collaborate in real time with surgeons and perfusionists to monitor patient hemodynamics.
- Master advanced technology by managing specialized, cutting-edge cardiovascular equipment.
- Champion patient safety across the entire perioperative journey.
- Lead smooth transitions from pre-op assessments through intra-operative assistance to post-surgical handoffs.
- Protect the sterile field by maintaining absolute adherence to infection control techniques.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Proven experience in a high-volume CVOR or surgical setting.
- Deep knowledge of advanced hemodynamic monitoring and sterile protocols.
- Ability to think critically and stay calm under pressure.
Hourly Pay Range: $41.56 - $61.30
Required Qualifications:- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state and in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience with at least 1-2 years in CVOR.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS obtained for an American Heart Association approved training center.
- CNOR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures, instrumentation, and equipment
- Excellent critical thinking, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to patient safety, advocacy, and quality outcomes
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning and equipment handling
