Registered Nurse RN Resource Team

Position Overview

As a Resource Team Float RN at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix, you will work on all PCU, Med/Surg, and Observation units. The role includes a sign‑on bonus of $15,000 and requires a 2‑year commitment. Compensation also offers an 18% hourly night shift differential, a $3.00/hour weekend shift differential, and a $3.00/hour float incentive. The position requires full‑time night shifts: three 12‑hour shifts per week, 7:00PM–7:30AM.

Holiday and weekend availability is required.

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs; review patient history and diagnostics; report abnormal results to physician(s).
• Formulate and revise a patient‑specific plan of care, including discharge planning; set realistic, measurable goals in collaboration with patient/family and the health team.
• Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, delegation, and supervision of the health‑care team; ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and physician orders.
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; revise care plans accordingly; monitor progress toward goals and outcomes.
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record; ensure legibility, timeliness, and accuracy of documentation.
• Provide evidence‑based care; participate in research, unit leadership, education, orientation, and mentoring of staff.
• Contribute to patient outcomes through participation in national quality indicators and professional organizations.
• Supervise staff and workflow of the department where applicable.
• Interact with all levels of staff, patients, families, and external contacts; provide spiritual support and clarify information.

• Current, valid RN license in the state of practice (including compact or temporary/interim license).
• BLS certification required; additional certifications or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
• Minimum one year of acute‑care hospital experience in the past 12 months (for registry and travel acute‑care positions).
• For registry and travel physician practices, minimum one year as an RN in physician practice or acute‑care setting.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required for staff at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital, BTMC Behavioral, Banner Home Care/Hospice, or Boswell Skilled Nursing Facility.
• State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card required for employees at Banner MD Anderson on the University Medical Center Phoenix campus.
• Colorado Fingerprint Clearance Card required for staff at Banner McKee Senior Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit.

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Professional certification preferred.
• Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
