Registered Nurse
This is an Emergency Room position requiring a skilled Registered Nurse. The unit accommodates both acute and subacute patients with a focus on trauma cases. A total of 36 beds are available along with 6 trauma bays. Registered Nurses will be expected to manage a patient ratio of 1:4. Please note that nurses will float between multiple facilities if needed. All nurses must maintain competency in critical nursing skills.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory for the role. Additional preferred certifications include TNCC and ATCN. The facility has a mix of healthcare professionals for patient management. Team members will work under the supervision of charge nurses to ensure quality care. This role requires participation in weekend shifts as per unit discretion. Strong communication skills and the ability to handle high-stress situations are vital.
Candidates must demonstrate their understanding of maintaining a sterile field during procedural tasks. Nurses will participate in various educational training sessions to adapt to facility-specific protocols. Psychiatric holds and trauma cases are common within the Emergency Room. The hospital handles a high volume of cases annually, providing a fast-paced work environment. Candidates should be aware of the expectation for professional appearance, including natural hair color and no facial piercings.
