Palliative Care APP with Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix, AZ

Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Palliative Care team. In this role, the provider will work alongside an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, APPs, social workers, and dedicated chaplain, to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients with serious illnesses.

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will be passionate about specialized palliative care and committed to supporting patients and families through complex, end-of-life situations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Clinical management of palliative care patients
  • Leading serious illness conversations with patients and their families
  • Managing malignant pain and complex symptom control
  • Providing inpatient end-of-life care
  • Offering consultations on goals of care and advance care planning
  • Collaborating closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team-based care model

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current/Eligible Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Certification and Arizona License
  • Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS
  • Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance

Work Schedule:
Full Time | M-F | Daytime Shift | No Call, No Weekends!
