The Internal Travel Team Emergency Department RN will support Mayo Clinic's Arizona Emergency Department through a temporary, seasonal assignment anticipated to last approximately three months, with flexible start dates between October and January. Following the assignment, there may be opportunities to continue with the Internal Travel Team in either a temporary or permanent role.

This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Holders of F1 status eligible for post-completion OPT are welcome to apply. This role is NOT eligible to participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program. Successful sponsorship will require state licensure and completion of the Visa Screen or equivalent certification.

• Graduate of an accredited, or those in the candidacy process, associate, or diploma nursing program, as recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Exceptions to this may be made in the MCHS sites prior to a law change requiring accreditation expected in 2018.
  
  If graduated from a nursing program that was not accredited by ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA, at least one year of RN experience in an applicable care setting is required. If graduation did not occur within the last two years, one year of RN experience in an applicable care setting is required, or one year of current LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is required.
  
  Staffing Pool Experience Requirements: 1 year RN experience (within the last two years) in Operating Room, PACU or Intensive Care Unit practice settings depending on open position(s).
• All entry-level associate degree registered nurses with a RN start date of April 1, 2020 and after must provide documented evidence of program completion of the baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program within five years from the last day of the month of the RN start date.
• All entry-level associate degree registered nurses with a RN start date prior to April 1, 2020 must provide documented evidence of program completion of the baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program as stipulated by the degree requirement program in place at time of hire.
• 1 year of Adult ED experience is required.
• External traveler or float pool experience preferred.
• Mayo Clinic cross-site experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Computer skills required; prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends, and on-call.
• Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting.
• Demonstrated leadership, effective communication, and excellent critical thinking skills.

• Current multi-state RN licenses:
  Minnesota, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Florida. Must have a current Arizona license or multi-state compact license.
• Maintains current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from one of the following programs:
  American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Additional specialty certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS are required by the work area.

This position offers a fixed hourly rate of $82.83. In addition, a travel stipend may be provided, with current amounts reviewed and adjusted quarterly. A comprehensive benefits package is also included.
