Charge Nurse; RN; Operating Room

Overview:

This role is for an Operating Room (OR) Charge Nurse (RN) responsible for coordinating departmental activities within a clinic unit.

• Lead and coordinate OR functions, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Act as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and customer service.
• Develop and implement plans to meet regulatory standards and quality benchmarks.
• Train, mentor, and supervise staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, overseeing patient care quality.
• Provide direct patient care following established standards and oversee the appropriateness and effectiveness of care.
• Manage daily staffing decisions, participating in orientation and competency assessments for staff.
• Address customer service issues and implement performance improvement measures.

• Minimum of 2+ years of clinical nursing experience in an OR setting.
• Registered Nurse license in the state, CPR, and ACLS certification (PALS preferred).
• Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to manage high-stress situations.
• Preferred: BSN, management experience, specialty certification, and ACLS within six months if not already obtained.
