Registered Nurse – RN Traveler, ICU Nights

• Provide professional nursing care for ICU patients on night shifts
• Record patients' medical histories and symptoms
• Perform diagnostic tests and analyze results
• Operate medical equipment
• Administer treatments, medications, therapies, and IV fluids, blood, and blood products
• Establish, implement, evaluate, and revise individualized, family-centered care plans
• Monitor patients and document observations, interventions, therapeutic measures, and multi-systems data
• Initiate emergency and resuscitative measures under standing orders, policies, and procedures
• Educate patients and families on illness or injury management, post-treatment and home care, diet, nutrition, exercise, medications, and therapy
• Provide direction to licensed practical nurses and nursing aides and delegate appropriately
• Precept new-hire staff and students and support competency completion
• Collaborate with physicians, healthcare clinicians, patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Develop and evaluate evidence-based standards of care and support research integration
• Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, cost-effective care, professional development, and a healthy work environment

• Associates or Diploma in Nursing required
• All Diploma and ADN hires must complete a BSN within 60 months of hire OR have 5 or more years of Registered Nurse experience at the time of hire
• Graduate from an accredited NLN/CCNE institution required
• 2 years RN experience required
• Travelers – minimum assignment of 13 weeks in a full time status required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and unit-specific certification as required by specialty area
• State and/or Compact State Licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Arizona upon hire required
• National certification for unit-specific patient population preferred
• Knowledge of stroke symptoms, warning signs, protocols, pathways, NIHSS, Modified Rankin Stroke scales, Stroke Alert activation, stroke quality indicators, education materials, and Stroke Center website resources

Demonstrates expertise in providing professional nursing care in an ICU setting, including administering treatments and medications, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Holds necessary certifications and licensure while promoting patient safety and quality outcomes.
