Job Summary

Join our dynamic Nursing Department at College Medical Center Phoenix as a Full-Time Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on the Day Shift. In this vital role, you will provide safe, therapeutic, and age-appropriate care to pediatric patients in a behavioral health setting
, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with established policies and procedures. You will help maintain a supportive and healing environment while addressing each patient’s physical, emotional, and behavioral health needs.

Scheduled Shift: Day Shift and Night Shift

Qualifications

Current LPN licensure
New Grads are welcome to apply
A Level One Fingerprint Card is required
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers card
Minimum 6 months of psychiatric experience preferred
CPI Certification required within 30 days of hire
Knowledge of pediatric growth and development and age-appropriate patient care
Experience in an acute psychiatric inpatient setting preferred

Job-Specific Responsibilities

Observe, record, and report changes in patients' physical, emotional, and behavioral conditions
Provide safe and age-appropriate nursing care to pediatric patients under the supervision of an RN
Monitor safety within the therapeutic environment and assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed
Assist with admissions, patient data collection, and orientation to the unit and program
Document patient interactions, observations, and responses to therapeutic interventions
Communicate appropriately with patients, parents, guardians, and caregivers regarding care
Collaborate with RNs and the interdisciplinary treatment team to implement individualized care plans
Help maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for pediatric patients

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CHLB/Glendora Hospital roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices, etc. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that CHLB/Glendora Hospital in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
